This was taken high above Luchon in the Pyrenees, on New Years day on our day off from biking with AQR.
Fabulous riding and food as usual with the added bonus that the temp averaged at about 9 degrees for the week.

you should have been skiing when it looks like that!
We had a seven course meal cooked by Russ the hotel owner and Aqr chef, needless to say it was superb! Believe it or not there was very little snow up there. The pic was taken at 2100 metres and the main ski resort is at 1800 meters and only had selected pistes open.
At that altitude we had temps of about 19 degrees on New Years day 😀
Sorry, but 9 degrees is positively COLD!

****! there is more snow round here (at thats only 40m above sea level)...
