Lamp fits onto helmet directly with no modification or bodging: +1
Power lead reaches camel back ipod pocket perfectly: +1
Light is perfect brightness and beam pattern while on Low power: +1
Bike in good working order: +1
Warm night: (for January) +1
Enough fog so that bounce back from light obscures the top of the front wheel, let alone the ground: -10!
Night ride FAIL!
(stupidly hefty Sun Mammoth Fatty rim:1 Vs pothole hidden in the fog: 0 = consolation prize)
maybe ill try again tommorow....that is all!
fog or rain = get lamp as low to the ground as possible and not 'inline' with your line of vision.
thats logical.
bar mount would be better then?
need to work out a way of mounting it down there then i guess, doesnt come with a suitable pouch (which is what the camel back works well)
It must be said that in the rain/snow/fog i turn of the light on my helmet and just use the bar one (though this is commuting)
