Thanks - bike looks very good with it.

My Ti456 arrived today, can't wait to get it built up but it will probably take me a couple of weeks to get the rest of the bits I need.

you will need full length gear cables.
I got fibrax teflon ones off ebay.
on one mixer headset from on one.
short stem.

I've got all the major bits, really just need a couple of odds and ends for now. I need to get a stem and bars but first need to work out what length to get, so the initial build will be with odd and ends lying round the garage.

When I first decided to get a Ti456, the plan was to reuse almost everything from my old hardtail and gradually upgrade as stuff wore out, but it hasn't worked out that way. After getting a great deal on a set of Talas forks, I decided to do the bike justice from day one. Its been an expensive couple of weeks!

Is that a Ti seatpost on yours - which one? I've got a Joplin for mine.

that is a cheapo asian ebay ti seat pin.
the clamp is a tad nasty.
time will tell.
mine is a budgdet build.
bulk of parts transferred from last frame.
would quite like some new brakes though.
I tend to use tried and tested bits and go for value for money and durability.
yes I am tight.
