I regard stw forum as being a bike-orientated version of Mumsnet (without the swearing)...

Unfortunately Government Policy isn't swayed by STW, unlike Mumsnet 🙄

...however if it was 😯

Wow, I just had a little browse around the site... Its like the daily mail with added hormones

A whole section on feminism where people rant about being asked to bake a cake by their kids school as its sexist to assume the mother would be baking a cake. Rather than just using a bit of common sense and thinking they were asked to bring in a cake because they were the parent who picked the kid up from school that day. Had the father been there, they would more than likely have asked him 😕

Oooh!!! pavements with hairpin bends, cyclists are thieves, modern bikes are silent

I bet when they got into their cars to do the school run, they then went onto Mumsnet to complain about inconsiderate cyclists holding them up and they have a right to the road blah blah!

Unfortunately we seem to live in a society (and it seems to be getting worse) whereby people lack the ability to tolerate others, because they are used to getting their own way all the time.
I have a relative who is exactly like this, complains about cyclists on the road, then complains about them on the shared use path outside her expensive house. Always competing with the other mum's at the school gates. Husband earns a lot of money and then complains about how hard done by she is! Sad really 😕

netmums is very different from Mumsnet.

This thread on Mumsnet ishilarious due to the direction it takes at the top of page 27 😀

I've just read a couple of pages of that thread, and I cannot believe how reasoned and sensible the arguments back and forth are, they even managed the Road Tax subject politely.

You can tell it's not a cycle forum, on Road CC they would have hanged someone by the middle of page 1... well maybe not hanged, just beaten them up, with iron bars... a bit.
