Topeak Hummer unless you want a chain tool and a limited Allen Key set to match your bolts.

Hummer has everything but a knife and pliers.

You can leave the chain clip and torx25 at home to save weight.

Ditto the 2 tyre levers if you can do without (nintendo thumbs).

Edit: One tyre lever needed for the allen to drive the chain tool.

This is what I pack into the saddle bag on my road bike.

The chain splitter is a must as I ride most of the time on my own,
I carry a great little park tools multi tool but also have to carry a separate chain splitter

I use one of these. Chain tool, spoke wrenches and allen keys. Not light, but you need really bar an extra tyre lever.

Worth getting a dinky little chain tool separately and a little microtool? The Park and Topeak chain tools I have a pretty small and a lot easier to use than the ones on other multitools I've tried.

I have an On one multi tool from a few years ago. Spot on and only about £10 at the time.

This one looks slightly better...

Built many a bike with it and it comes on every ride and has saved the day a few times.

I use a lezyne sv10. It's tiny, around 100g and about the lightest multi tool with a chain tool that I could find. You could go carbon to save another 20g but I don't think it's worth the extra £40.

Only other tool I need is one tyre lever, couple of zip ties, gaffa tape round my pump and a small square of groundsheet to patch a ripped sidewall.

Chain tools on their own don't weigh much less.

The Lezyne V10 looks to be best weight, and a Park Tyre Lever (or 2, just try first) and the bits above complete the kit.

Topeak Hummer is approx 170g with both levers and loose bits.

You're all mad as a box of frogs.

How many times do you need a chain tool on a road bike?

Especially when you take the chainset off with a 5mm Allen key.

I've only needed it once in 5 years, would have been a long 40 mile walk without it.
