Having moved to 1 x 11, I'm looking for a multi tool that can break an 11 speed chain (I carry a speed link so shouldn't need to join it back up with a pin).

Do I need an 11 speed compatible tool, or would a 10 speed break an 11 speed chain?

I was thinking a Crank Brother 19 or Topeak Hexus if 10 speed is ok.

Any thoughts or first hand experiences?

(Sorry of this has been asked before, I did carry out a search).

Any decent quality chain breaker will do, regardless of the chain type.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but wanted to check. ๐Ÿ™‚

Topeak Hexus works for sure. When I needed to break my 11 speed road chain my toolbox Park one wouldn't do it but the Hexus did.
