There'a a bunch of us going to be finishing a ride in Ambleside and need a MTB friendly pub that we can go to while waiting for the bus to pick us up. Nice beer is a must ๐
Any recomendations?

Your best bet is probably The Golden Rule, its the most authentic pub in Ambleside and tends to be less full of day trippers and more full of walkers. Beers are Robinsons and Hartleys. Not bad.
There's also the Royal Oak which has Keswick beers on (unless they've run out which they often do) but its very touristy and can be very busy.
There's great beer in the Queens Head hotel (Hawkshead, Coniston, Hesket Newmarket etc..etc...) but you'd prob want to sit outside if you're filthy.
+1 for the Golden Rule. It's very near the main carpark, just up the Kirkstone Pass road from the mini roundabout. There's a back yard where you could probably lock up your bikes if you need to - access off North Road.
Cheers guys, will chech them out on Saturday.
Golden Rule again. Pints of Dizzy Blonde, covered in mud.....happy days.
Thanks for the recomendation of The Golden Rule - it was just the job at the end of our 33 miler while waiting for the bus to pick us up. A brilliant end to a fantastic day of riding. ๐
