For those that use the MTBR forum as well as this fine establishment, do you prefer the nichey pigeon-holed style of MTBR, or the insane and highly entertaining free-for-all that is STW?

I use both for that very reason. I guess I visit STW more for entertainment/chat and MTBR if I'm looking for a particular review/info. Particularly like the manufacturers' forum on MTBR.

Why would I need a forum to discuss mountain biking? People ride bikes?

I just love the chaos here, it's just unlike any other forum I've toyed with. I preferred it when OT posts was on the main forum as it was is even more mental then.

I posted a Q on the mtbr Turner forum and David Turner himself answered it. STW is rarely stumped for info though.

I thought this thread was a about a sort of 'forum ride' group trip over to meet the mtbr forum lot for a bit of argy bargy and a ruck, fight club stylee..

It would be pretty cool... Them on 5 " Trek and Specialized trail centre bikes.. and us on our One Ones, Joneses, and weird niche-core cyclocross bikes...

so there for technical discussion
