[#563687]

G'day all,

I am heading acros the Birmingham for work in a couple of weeks and would love to get out and see some trails. Any local clubs I can contact or any locals willing to have an extra on rides? I will be in the area for approx 4 months.

cheers.
Matt.

Sutton Park local here...
Don't get too excited .... it's pretty flat, but there are some excellent loops here for those in the know!
Mail me if you want showin' around.

Sutton park is ok for quick spin, but you'll struggle to string together a decent length ride to make it worth the journey, plus its not too good after a bit of rain.
Your best bet is to head over to Cannock, should only take about 45 min from the city ctr.

Looks like there are plenty of riders in the area, I will get in contact when I know arrival dates. Should be within a couple of weeks. As far as the trails being a bit flat, I dont mind that too much as I am bringing the Singlespeed. I do plan on riding Wales also, but have read I can hire a bike for that.

Cannock is OK but the new Permit to Ride strategy is causing a few problems.

i received my bolt on metal Cannock permit badge yesterday, will be fitting it to the handlebars tonight, don't want to get caught out like last time!, soooo embarrasing!
