Looking to bike in the area around Lake Garda in July. Due to Ryanair's extortionate bike carriage charges we're considering renting. However I'm sceptical I'll be able to hire a high end full sus bike to fit me (5'2- need around a 14" frame). Can anyone advise on bike shops which might be able to provide a suitable bike? Probably staying in the north (Arco) as I think this is where the best biking is (?)

Many thanks.

Get yourself into Torbole - loads of places

Think it was Carpentari we rented from last time, bike was shagged but it was September. Remember the brakes will be backwards too...

Mike on this forum is a guide out there and may be able to sort you out with a Liteville if you use his services. We are heading out for a second trip with him this September. The best riding is super technical and quite out of the way and so I would recommend a guide and uplift service. Torbole does have loads of places with Cannondales and the like, some of these are pretty expensive.

There's a place called Cafe Extreme in Malcesine which is also a bike shop / hire / tour operator.

Hi. I am there from April till mid October and can sort you out with Liteville 301 or 601 bikes. Sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL - the XS & S bikes can run either 24 or 26" rear wheel so great for small riders. 48 Euro per day (£36) absolute bargain for the level of specification of bike and they are all brand new MK12 and MK3 versions. Go with Michael ^ Bikes are in top condition, he knows some awesome trails, costs a third of what the shops charge for their knackered rental bikes and is a top bloke to ride with! I will be going back this summer.
