age 15 upwards can race at series 2

www.brownbacksracing.co.uk

you need your parent/ guardian for the consent form though.

we also need marshals otherwise its a very short course

Over 18s, are these sexually explicit races?

metcheck tells me that you should be marshalling to support grass roots racing

Taka- can you send me an e-mail about the forks? I'll get them to you Friday morning if that's OK with you?

Also, check this out. It's not a "race" as such, but I fit this and another one in Meltham in every year because they have all the race feel if you want it, and there's a good bunch of people that do it. They're also cheap!

Check out the brown backs events, and if you can. Also, if you have a parent to drive you, the last round of the Midlands XC Series is at Sherwood pines, 1 1/4 hours from Halifax. It's a flat place but it'll be a good opportunity to get a feel for proper racing.

Going into this time of year there isn't much, but there is a new northern XC race series that British Cycling are organising with a youth section for U17s, and there's challenges all over yorkshire all the time.

I believe the No Fuss events are over 15? Relentless / strathpuffer and so on.

you could always try cx - these are Notts / Derby (http://www.ndcxl.org.uk/) but there may some nearer to you.

They seem pretty good whenever I've been there - can't comment on the racing as I was watching my kids in the little races

I've not heard a great deal about it, but got a load of e-mails from a bloke at BC asking about interest and so on. Really hope it kicks off- the northern race series died completely somewhere after the last days of SIMBA. Good to see Brownbacks and BC showing interest again.
