Not the whole distance but thinking of extending my Morzine trip by a couple of days and wondered if there was anything worth visiting on the route back rather than hang around the Alps.
Any suggestions ?

IMO the best use of the extra days would be riding somewhere else in the Alps, eg Mega avalanche course or Verbier. If you look at the likely route back from Morzine to Calais I would say the options are quite limited riding wise unless you want XC.
There is riding in the Jura and Alsace (neither really "on the way")and around Annecy (lake & town very pretty worth a tourist detour)/La Clusaz if you want something a little different.
In the summer the mountain passes are open and it's much quicker to get between resorts not to mention the adventure of driving on the smaller roads!
