I assume you laughed because no one in their right mind wastes oil on brakes..a little squirt of GT85 is much more cost effective. That's what I use anyway.

Seriously though, I once saw a guy at Afan giving his Yeti a full spraying with GT85, brakes and discs included.
Around 1995 I remember spraying my hope disc brake with gt85 after each ride! It never caused any probs. It seemed to come off within a few metres of braking and the bite was vicious all it's life. I started doing this after noticing a bit of rust forming on the disc!
Hmm, I wonder what went wrong with disc brakeS from then on? :O)
