[Closed] Mounting mudguard eyelets to rear disc brake mount - bad idea?

I'm wondering if it could make sense to drill out and mount one of these


To the rear disc brake adapter mounts, as mounting them to the rear axle makes taking of the wheel clunkier.

Other options in order of sensibleness (ignoring the option to weld/brace on eyelets)

1.ย P clamps mounted to frame

2. QR eyelets adapters, could be drilled out to 10 mm thru axle I assume.

3. Drilling 4 mm holes in your frame and tapping them with a M5x0.8mm tap, should be fine for mudguards. Will void warranties etc.

2. IMO absolutely no problem particularly as having the guard mounts outboard helps clear the brake calliper

I'd avoid drilling the frame

Just dawned on me that disc brake mounts are only on 1 side..

I was wondering if you hadn't thought of that.

P clips are probably the best option tbh.

There's still drilling and tapping holes into the alu frame, for example like so:
