Quite a thorough review here

I quite fancied one, but not sure about the short version which i think is all you can get now, the top tube is even shorter the my dialled alpine and that felt quite short at first, god knows why there is no ISCG tabs on there either.

it's a slopestyle frame. I'd suggest seeking advice of Mountain cycle website.
They have a forum full of owners
ask them .

I have a mountain cycle fury, that is a different beast entirely though.

RRP US $1225+ now US$570+, while stocks last.

That worries me when it's the manufacturer but if the current prices of used San Andreas are anything to go by you can't go far wrong. I found my Rumble quite short but in answer to the OP, I guess this is not designed for sitting down and pedalling.

Discontinued perhaps? I know my fury is.. it was'nt even on the booth at sea otter or most recent Taipai show so chances are it's being replaced.

They've got the Fury at $640 on the website which is seriously tempting. Are they in financial trouble again ?

Will have pictures of my LTD rumble up soon, a few tweeks to go and she's begging for dust...or sludge, all depending ๐Ÿ˜‰

I really like Mountain Cycle...always been there but never really shout to much.

I bought one for my son as a mini dh / freeride bike. It would be pretty heavy as a trail bike as it's frame is over built. The main problem with them is that standard, like Shimano, cranks won't fit. The cranks will catch the chain stays. You need to fit cranks with a wide chain line. Details are on the Mountain Cycle forum here. Not sure if there are cable stops for a front mech. You can put big forks on them though. My lad likes his and raced it up at Innerleithan in the winter dh series.

Truvativ Husselfelt 1.1 DH cranks with a wide(56mm instead of 51mm) Truvativ Howitzer Team BB

They are only about 1kg heavier than my old bike so I was not expecting a big problem with weight. I was more worried about the short top tube.

They are way cheap, but it starts to get expensive when new cranks and BB are needed.

Anyway cheers for the feedback
