Hi All,

Tried searching for previous posts on this topic but couldn't find any. So apologies if this has been covered before. Looking for bike insurance and was hoping I could get other peoples views. So far I've had quotes from Cycleguard and Protect my bubble, both seem a little steep but maybe that's what I should expect from all. Can anyone recommend others?

Thanks
JP

Have a word with your home insurance people, they might cover it for a much smaller fee.

on this subject, is there anyone that covers it when not inside the house or a purpose built garage/brick building ?

Mine are stored outside in a tent...

Marks & Spencers seem to be popular too.

Both he and a mate recently had out bikes nicked. Each worth around £3k if new. I'm with Santander and got the princely sum of £750. He's with Nat West and got £2k. (both were maximum pay outs). Guess who I'm switching over to...

M&S covered mine as an extra on the home insurance, 3 got nicked recently, all seems to be going smoothly with minimum fuss with the claim (fingers crossed)

I've switched to M&S home cover on recommendation, only switched for the bike cover really. The policy doesn't seem to be quite as good now but still the most competitive i've found and being M&S you have a certain (possibly unfounded) feeling they'd be better in a claim than most.

M&S good, though less good than they used to be for cover. co-op good. NFU good. All as part of home insurance, though all are pretty competitive on that - I saved far more on the renewal than the extra costs of adding my bike on was.

Mines insured on my home insurance with More Than, just had to make sure its specified and they charged me a bit extra every year to have it insured for the full value both at home and out and about. Problem is my insurance has more than tripled this year from £200 up to just over £600 after having my house broken into last year and my car and bike taken! 🙁
