Didn't see it, but apparently it was horrific... The BBC said they would update as they hear anything

It was a horrendous crash and the marshalls certainly didn't help the situation. RIP Shoya.

Haven't seen the whole thing but the general opinion is that the race should have been stopped.

The marshalls just bundled him onto a stretcher. Usually they put the bales around a fallen rider and attend to them on the track. He was in the gravel trap so out of the way of the racing so I guess that's why it wasn't black flagged. Very very tragic and it shows just how dangerous racing is.

Hadge - He was still on the track, just off the racing line in the footage I saw.

I wasn't sure if he was so I stand corrected. It looked like very poor marshalling with all the riders who fell and my first thoughts were when watching it was that it should have been red flagged.

Admiralable they held a minutes silence before the racing started for Lenz.

RIP, and I hope the other 2 riders involved, De Angelis and Redding arent too injured and can mentally and emotionally get over the crash. They had no time to avoid Shoya and his bike and I can only imagine how they are feeling right now.

Rubbish ๐Ÿ™ Just watched the footage... Pretty horrendous!

After a crash like that anything other than a spine board would probably have finished him off if the crash itself hadn't already.

R.I.P.

Only just caught the victory celebrations from the MotoGP race and the look on Rossis face says it all - forced smiles all round. Must have been awful going onto the podium after finding the news about the accident.
