[#7942110]

I've got a 2nd gen moto G (16gb version.) It's started not connecting to WiFi. It seems fine with existing saved networks like home/work etc', but when I try a new one, it can find it, will allow me to enter a password if necessary, then says it's connecting, then just says saved and goes no further.

I've googled it but I've not really found a decent answer. Anyone experienced the same?

Reboot the router if you have access to it. Need more info on the router to help more.

It usually does that when the WiFi password you've entered is incorrect.
Make sure you've got your upper and lower case right.

I don't think it's a router problem as it happens on several different networks (one being my gopro type camera which acts as a wifi hotspot,) and I've definitely checked and double checked the passwords! It actually accepts the password, starts to connect then moves onto saved but won't fully connect. I've tried forgetting the connection and starting again several times but with no luck.

Might be irrelevant but you dont have too many networks already saved, if you have been connecting to various hotspots/open networks for a while you might have too many passwords saved which is confusing it.

Unfortunately not, I don't connect to many random networks, but it would be nice if it worked when I want it to!

I've also got a problem with it losing new contacts, it lets me save them, then they disappear after a few minutes. Right pain.

Probably worth doing a factory reset as a last resort.

Sign in to one of these wifi networks that your Moto G wont connect to with another device.

If it works using another device, then your handset is the issue. As Acid mentioned, Factory reset. If issue persists, contact Motorola...I found them very helpful when my Moto G was playing up.

I'll try contacting Motorola. The wife's first gen loses its contacts in the same way.

Shame really, as it's a nice phone otherwise
