If I'm in the car on the way to a trail or the peaks then it's Blink 182's greatest hits.

I just extract the audio from pro-downhiller helmet cam race footage, loop it, press play - makes everything seem faster.

Mountain biking is about the only time I don't listen to music.

I do enjoy a personal soundtrack on my commutes though, drum and bass being my go to genre.

I don't listen to music whilst riding, but if I did the soundtrack to Chainspotting is classic

The scrunch of the gravel coming through makes it sound like vinyl.

I used to when I was a teen, Walkman in the jersey pocket, good fun. These days I appreciate the silence! Seen plenty of lads sessioning with earbuds in, they are having a good time hitting some great lines.

Rarely do these days, but when I have done, or do so:

Eat Static - Abductiion

Gas - Zaubergerg

Underworld - Everything Everything

Magma - MDK

Knifeworld - Buried Alone: Tales of Crushing Defeat.

All I find inspiring. 'Abduction' reminds me of early mtb days (had it on cassette Walkman!) and still return to it sometimes, drives me on in a grinning bubbly trance-y techno-dub way...' Leftism' also stood the test of time.

If you need to ask you're too old.

(AKA doing the same bit over and over until you get it right)

Never in my wildest dreams have I thought about listening to music whilst riding my mtb 😯 but each to thereown I suppose. On the tturbo it's got to be big rock anthems.

Don't know if this'll work but for those of you who use Spotify it's a collection of music I've put together from mtb videos from years gone by plus some other more up to date stuff. Also a couple of bits from snowboarding vid too thrown in for good measure.

Mostly the Sprung and Earthed series of videos plus a few other classics. Theres also the full soundtracks of Sprung 3,4 and 5 in there.

XC stuff goes well with classical (mostly pop stuff). Sunshine on a green landscape and Nimrod/Jerusalem in my ears sums up being English.

Don't often bother, but when trying to get fit I sometimes do a lunchtime ride whilst listening to a 60-minute podcast of fatboyslim playing at some closing party for an Ibiza club. 15 minute warm up, 3 flat-out laps of an XC circuit in the woods behind work and then enjoy the silence on the way back to the office.

Edit; the opening speech sample from Abduction is now stuck in my head "we're not dropping out here, we're infiltrating and taking over".... yeah

Don't listen to music when on the bike, but if I did, something like this

Jungle War is Hell!

Prefer the Butthole Surfers original that Orbital sampled, although can't see that I'd listen to it riding though!
