So one by one people I was going away with have dropped out. Been morzine 3 times before. Thinking of booking a room in a chalet on my own. Still going and enjoying the trails. Anyone else done anything like this?

I have ended up doing a lot of traveling on my own.  Its far from ideal but if the choice is to go on your own or not go then just go

Similar thing here on an Iceland trip a while ago. Originally 5 of us but only me in the end. I loved it 😁

I've done it a few times but I stay with Riders Refuge so I'm in a chalet full of other people. That way there's always some craic around the dinner table and you can choose to ride alone or tag along with other people.

Yeah, I’ve done it on my own. I alway seem to make friends.

I've done it a few times on my own. It's utter bliss. Do it.

I've been a few times on my own.

Each time I've found folk to ride with and had a great time.

Riders Refuge was great.

Chalet nantague has been broken into twice while I was there ( years apart). Once they left my bike, once they took it. The place was great, and the security they put in after the second break in was impressive. Bit late but hey ho.

Take your biggest lock and use it wherever you stay.

Not Morzine, but my mate and I are currently the only folk booked into the White Room's chalet in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, for the week starting 9th August. Come join us!

I'm effectively on my own for riding while there in August (the Mrs thinks exercise is a trap). I tend to get a couple of half day guiding trips booked in and then see if I can mooch rides with folks on here or that I bump into on trails.
