[#2756257]

Not been for a couple of years, was hoping to get a few of us together this year but so far has not materialised due to commitments & lack of cash.

How feasible is it for me to go solo? I know I will meet plenty of people there but it's just the fear of finding myself on my own all week.

Maybe someone from STW massive has a spare place? I have the last week of June and first 2 weeks of July off. I would be prepared to drive, my Zafira is big enough for 2 people/bikes/gear/food/beer etc.

You'll find people to go with no problems... I've not been for years (thinking about going this summer too and have similar problem to you!), but a couple of times in the past I've ended up filling a couple of places in the chalet we booked with randoms met off this forum!

All worked out well too, no axe murderers or owt...

Of course it's feasible to go solo, the real question is whether you really want to.

I'd not - there's something about riding with others and swapping bull**** about how you could have totally nailed that drop if only there hadn't been a stray alligator on the path, that sort of thing.

Plus there's a safety issue.

If you can't find someone, just book into an MTB holiday chalet - they always have singletons there, but after the first half an hour you've all joined in together. Obviously there are people off here - I'm out in the last week of June but my place is crammed to the rafters.
