[#12866165]

Classic case of buying something I didn’t need and ended up convincing myself to build a new bike as, well, I’ve already got wheels, bars, all I need is a FRAME!  Pillock.  8.3kg without pedals, which is okay for the big tyres.  Anyway - over to STW to take it apart 🙂

Tempest? Either way very nice, looks fast sat on the sofa, which is always good.

Good work on the weight, my similar bike's still hovering around the 10kg mark, I keep thinking about spending money on lightness, then a bill appears.

Looks great (your bikes are always great looking) - Don't like the stickers on the rims if I'm being picky, but they do kinda suit the bike

…I’m on the fence about the decals.  I may remove them.

Yes it’s a V4 Tempest.  The only new thing on it is the bar tape and the battery.  Oh, and the cassette, which was monstrously expensive.

Nice looking bike.

But the curtains and cushions clash, no?

If that’s too light, bring it round, I know a way I can help….

After all this sinking feeling in the news, you can keep your accoutrements to yourself.  🙂

No, there’s purple and cream in the curtains too.  There’s also pink, purple, silver and cream in the stripy dining chairs, so even the bike matches the room.  😉

Tell me you own a suitably matching paisley dressing gown...

Sadly not, though one of my cycling tops does match a little. Probably too much.

Spec is:

Tempest V4 frame and Selcof fork,
Chris King, Nextie, Sapim wheels,
SRAM Red/Force AXS drivetrain/brakes,
Ingrid 11-44 12s cassette (HG)
Bontrager XXX finishing kit with a Toupe saddle.

Everything bar the cassette and bar tape I either had or was SH, but it was still more than I really wanted to spend. £380 on an unreviewed cassette was painful.

Lovely bike. The carbon wheels compliment the frame very nicely.
