Hi All,
A mate Brad (Workshop manager at the Bike Chain Edinburgh) and I are just about to head to Morocco on a MTB holiday. Included in the trip will be an ascent and descent of North Africa's highest Mountain Jebel Toubkal(4167m) in one day (if all goes to plan). We know it's been done before, but not in the one day as far as we know.

So what you say, well the good folk at 2Pure have loaned us a couple of Ibis Mojo HD's to take with us so we are writing a blog and doing a bit of show and tell while we're away.

If you want to follow us, keep an eye on us here

If not, carry on!

Good luck.
Went there last year.
Did not even make it up on foot - after the missus came down with a dodgy belly.
Watch what you eat until the expediction is over.
J.

You doing it yourself? Did 8 day tour there in 2009 and it was phenomenal! Ait-el-Benhaddou where Gladiator is filmed is worth a cycle past! Enjoy.

Yep, we've planned it ourselves, with a few pointers from Rick Harrison (ST mag #47). No-one guides this time of year as it's too hot...

I'm considering a mojo HD for my next bike, but I'm quite surprised at the weight of yours, its heavier than I thought it would be.I'd have guessed at 29lb or so for that type of build. Your build is not significantly lighter than my old enduro.

I guess the pedals are pretty heavy weight , but the rest of the build looks reasonably light for the type of bike it is.

Still tempted by the HD though.

Edited to add :-

How did bike radar get their similarly built HD in at 28lb's?

Julians: interesting observation. I would add mine were weighed on my bathroosm scales...

The Bikeradar trst rig had some pretty light wheels and a 2 x 10 setup. I need to edit my post - I'm embarassed to say it's actually a 2 x 9 setup with a bash up front. I just assumed it was a 2 x 10 when I picked it up and never bothered to check but now having just finished putting a new cluster, chain and chain ring on I'm sure it's a 2 x 9 ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm off to correct the blog.....
