Has anyone here had any experience dealing with Morningstar tools in the USA? They make some quite handy looking MTB specific tools.
It looks like a small one man afair, only take paypal payment, and only answer emails when the owner is in his local internet cafe!
I recently placed an order for a couple of tools. While exchanging emails before sending him any money he seemed really helpful. Now he's making all sorts of excuses that he cant send them to the address Ive given etc due to paypal supposedly (which is cr4p as its my linked address).
He's even forwarded me his email confirmation of payment, so I know he's got that!
Im just wondering whether I should just write off the money, or should have any faith what so ever?
Failing that how would I chase this up given that its in the US?
Just ask for a refund, if he doesn't respond you can start a paypal dispute. If you paid with a card through paypal you could also initiate a chargeback with the card issuer.
He's probably just been burnt with an international order before and is very wary.
Just a quick post to close this issue out (should it come up on a search).
Im pleased to report that I recieved the tools, and he even chucked in a couple of little extras! The tools seem pretty good, though use will tell for sure. Im not sure if I should look forward to using a tool designed to pull dents out of rims, but lets just say I feel best prepared!
