I know my colour vision is poor but it appears to have a greenish cast which I would have removed. Otherwise very good ๐Ÿ™‚

Really good pic, Jedi. To me, the greenishness that Simon is talking about looks like a natural stormy sky and you don't need to fiddle with it. Only my opinion though.

I believe it looks less atmospheric in yours Simon, sorry. Each to their own though. ๐Ÿ™‚

fair enough, I wasn't happy with it either, as I'd have preffered an orangey sunsetty look, but there seemed to be too much green ๐Ÿ™

monochrome?

Nah, not that either, lacks depth. I think the original is fine.

B+W might improve with some levels alteration and contrast boost.

I prefer stormy sky stuff in B&W too unless it's already REALLY dark. Proper thunderhead clouds with sun on it from behind look great in colour. Otherwise B&W. But each to their own - there's no right or wrong way for pics really.

Jedi

Hi - am I allowed to say I really like your photo but for some reason for me I can't apply the word "moody" to it. Not too sure why and that isn't a criticism of the photo which is great.

It has a nice pensive quality about it, looks like it's about to bucket it down and everyone is just pausing before bombing down some singletrack.
Damn seems like an age since I last managed to get out.

Great shot Jedi. Are you still "just" using your phone for pics?

That's a really good shot, and I wouldn't mess with the colour at all, no matter what sfb sez. And as for sharpening it up loads, absolutely not, I see far too much injuditious sharpening, which puts nasty white halos around things. All that's needed is a little unsharp mask, but too few people know how to use it properly, and you rarely need it for web pics, only for print. iPhone pics need some USM, 'cos they're fairly 'soft', but most digital camera photo's need it sparingly. Keep up the good work, I can't fault that pic.

I have to say I agree with SFB about the colour cast - the original looks badly photoshopped to me due to the colouring.
