Nice to briefly meet some of you last night - even if I did fail to make the ride or make it to the pub in decent time. 😳

Who needs cheek when you have more than enough great legal stuff that the Monday night lot had never ridden before?

Whilst i know that any suggestion that i might turn up would be greeted with skepticism, I will try and get there next week! Man Flu is definitely clearing up now!

Its a good time to visit rivvi at the moment as for the next 2 weeks the pike is lit up. I'm not saying that that makes the climbing any easier but it does look good!

Binners my only 'proper' night ride was Rivi and I'm not really a fan on riding round there. I like trees either side of the trail (or in view) 8)

A 99% legal Hebden ride. Wrong wrong wrong

I remember a rabid 'local' who was physically shoving me around on the cheeky off the top of Heptonstall early one Sunday morning.

He was saying 17 of your idiots regularly come down here on Wednesday nights in the dark. Props to him for being able to accurately count the riders 😆

It'll be dark. You could be riding past The Dallas Cowgirls at a foam party and you wouldn't know.

Somebody needs to put together an "Excuse Bingo" card.

My winking smiley was missed off the quote above. We rode Hebden on Sunday - did a couple of cheeky descents (but missed anything off Heptonstall as there were quite a few people around) but did Peckett Well and Alis Zig Zags both of which were riding really well. The Zig Zags are almost back to their flat out but still rocky enough to catch you out best after the 'improvements' a few years back.

Is the plan still to meet at Bobs Smithy on Monday 24th?

If it is I’ll start a new thread tomorrow with confirmed details.

Is Bolton close enough for the members of R.S.V.C.C and can anybody lend Hora some lights?

The R.S.V.C.C will be in full effect on Monday. My spare lights are presently out on loan. I wouldn't worry about it though. Theres absolutely no chance he'll actually turn up. The holy trinity of volume of trees, amount of ambient light, and percentage moisture content in the air needed to meet his needs, only align at precisely mid-day on two days of the year, in July 😀

Bregante’s karma induced piano-down-a-lift-shaft approach to the steps at the bottom of Peckett Well deserves a mention in despatches also.

Ah yes, lesson learned. Best not to laugh at another riders misfortune until you have successfully negotiated the obstacle yourself 😳

The bloke whose name I still don't know 😳 despite riding and drinking with him on several occasions!

Rides a Cube and is way better at going down hills than me.
