[Closed] Modifying LED torch to run off remote battery pack?

I have a reasonable Cree LED torch that runs off 3 AA batteries but because of this it's a bitt too long.

So, can it be modified to run off a separate battery pack so I only have to mount the head and switch on the bars and how?
