21 years ago I bought a pair of xt v brakes .

They cost £120.

This week I bought a pair of  xt disc brakes.

They cost £120.

I reckon that's ace.

Yep, what was considered light and strong back in the day was really just cheese compared to now, 160mm bikes you can happily ride all day up and down anything you like is brilliant. Compromise has left the building with a lot of stuff these days.

As timely as ever the EWS are racing down one of the "freeride" trails from Kranked 2 this weekend

21 years ago my bike had 21 gears - it still does, although they aren't the same gears.  The only original bits on it are the frame, crank arms, front mech and about 85% of the bars, which I've shortened.  I also have three others now and an extensive collection of bits.
