BMX Night innit.

Not this time for me. I seem to recall Chipps had offered to do a ride in Tod on the 6th but if he's not around I'm happy to do one instead.

I'm not riding tomorrow as i missed the email, but coming along to the BMXing to heckle you all and take some piccies, with the idea of doing some illustrations

Mrs Binners actually said she fancies coming along. She's mentioned the idea of adding a Total Wipeout dimension to proceedings by throwing things at you

Sounds like a plan. Pete is coming to watch too. He's a Trauma Nurse at Salford Royal.

Last week ducked out of monsoon biking and went to a karate class instead, where he kicked me so hard that I got whiplash. Which was nice.

I'm still up for a Tod ride if anyone fancies it. Can do a bit earlier too if that suits anyone.

8.15 Golden Lion. (Can do earlier if that suits anyone coming from Bolton side)

two rides over the weekend after quite a substantial period of no riding to speak of have left me quite sore, so i'll be spectating tonight for a while too (not that i was booked on anyway)...

Due to last minute drop-outs we have two spaces on the BMX session tonight if anyone fancies it. £21.25, 8-10pm at the National Cycling Centre, all kit provided. Send me a message if you're interested, first come first served.

Doesn't sound like much interest in a Tod ride so lets save it for another day. I'm going BMXing instead. Tom I've sent you an email.

@binners, can you get your Mrs to throw cakes and assorted snacks at us, i'm feeling a tad peckish. Nothing with too much mass like an apple.

So, the track claimed another victim Monday night. Ben went to A+E on tuesday after coming off on the tabletop section, broken collarbone and 2 ribs. Can't drive for 6 weeks...

Ooops. Anyway we are climbing next week. What could possibly go wrong?

Normal service will be resumed on March 20th. How about the fabled Turton ride that has been postponed for 3 months?

Ouch! He did look a bit wonky, but when I asked assured me there was nothing "sticking out"

Shouldn't you all be tapering for the 25th? 🙂

Had a couple drop out of the bouldering session tonight.

Anyone fancy it?

Rockover Climbing next to Strangeways. £9.00 for non members + £2.50 is you want to hire shoes (not compulsory, trainers will do).

Meet at 7:50 ish. Climb for a bit. Go to the pub.

PSA: I've already phoned and enquired and you can't wear Speedos, or mankini's due to potential chaffing issues, so I've bought a new flouro orange leotard. See you later! You'll certainly be able to see me 😀

I dread to think of the casualty list after this. A bunch of 40-something blokes who've never climbed before falling off a 12 foot high wall. What could possibly go wrong?

I am a trained first aider. Hence my reaction last week when the guy stubbed himself out at the BMX track.

I've got a knackered right shoulder, elbow and wrist. I'm right-handed. So climbing is the obvious thing to do under the circumstances. I'll be there if there's still a space available.

Anyone who needs some shoes, I'm bringing along a few demo pairs tonight, should save a couple of quid on hiring them.

What colour are they? I wouldn't want them to clash with my leotard

On reflection I'm going to give it a miss. Have to realise I'm not 25 anymore (or 35. Or even 44). On the other hand if anyone knows a good physio it'd be much appreciated..

Cracking night last night folks. Really enjoyed it, despite discovering, somewhat unsurprisingly, that I'm not one of natures natural climbers. Who'd have thunk it eh?

But here's a few of you more monkey-esque lot doing your thang...

Good stuff.

What next eh? There was talk of snow biking and archery, but not at the same time.

Our club are talking of buying a set of racing rollers, with the clock and timing system. It may never come off, and there will be a hire charge due to the price of the system, but that'd be a fun night upstairs at The Church. I'll bear it in mind if they materialise.

Beer fuelled roller racing? Sounds awesome!

Needs to be done in the beer garden on a Saturday night with a DJ and a BBQ.

My wife has just looked at the pictures and said...
