Yeah I'll be there. We can leave the argument about whether to go to the top til the start.

Anyone from Tod needs a lift just shout.

nope. not that anyone will be surprised by that!

mtb's in rebound/horwich cycle service centre for total rebuild/service, in the hope that it'll motivate me to get out more. none of the others are in a working state (except the arkose, but i only have road tyres for it currently, schoolboy error).

I think I'll be able to join you.
Whenever doing Pendle, you must always go to the top, then get the full Ogden Clough descent in as far as Ogden Res. It's the law!

Woods first and halfway up or go straight for the top?

Woods first and we can judge the pace to see if we have time for the top. The best descent is off to the right on the way down. It comes out near the Mexican restaurant. Last time we went to the top we missed it.

I might go early and take a trip to the top before you lot get there (assuming I can get out of work early). If anyone fancies joining me I'm hoping to be there for 6.30.

Ooo, I'm up for that. I wasn't going to bother but it makes the trip over worth it if I can get a couple of hours extra riding in. See you then.

Excellent. See you in the usual car park at 6.30.

Wonder if we have time for that Ogden Clough thing?

No idea, not ridden Sabden before. I assume the usual car park is obvious? Give us a call if I'm not where I'm supposed to be at half-past...

Tempted to go, but seems it may be a bit of a struggle for me these days, is it 6-30 or 8-15 ?

Kev trust me you'll be fine. 6.30 for the early doors ride, 8.15 for the normal lot who like to have their tea first.

If you're going for the late one the nach from these parts might be up for a lift....

Kev, Some are turning up at 6.30 for an extended evening. Others at 8.15.

yeah should probably point out that us early people will also be doing the later ride as normal. Who knows it might end up as a race against the clock to get down from the top to make it back in time for 8.15 🙂

Enjoyed that a lot, cheers chaps. Sorry I shot off so quick but it's a bit of a trek back and I quite wanted to get home before midnight...

Did you get caught in the motorway closure chaos?

Not really, I saw that the A56 was shut so went down the M65 and over the top from J5, only added a few minutes and was clear the rest of the way.
