Anyone know if they were designed for 120mm or 140mm forks and where the geometry can be found.

I've tried google and get lots of pics of frames!

Building up my PA again and wanted to see what travel forks the MK1 was designed around (it's one of the frames with the extra bit on the top tube.

Cheers

From what I can gather the geometry didn't change from the Mk 1, so 70/74 and suitable for 120-140mm forks.

I ran 130mm revs on my 853 PA which I think was a MK1.. so same as yours as the 853s didn't have the brace...

Cheers Alex, I have a set of revs coming my way.

Just found this thread which says the frames were designed around 125 so will go with 120mm and see how I get on with them.

Mine was the same (and same colour) but I've gone all modern now and fitted a dropper. Though the old school triple is still running on UN55 that will likely outlast the bike.

Currently running 150 Sectors, need to drop them at least 10mm really. Previously on 125mm Fox Talas. Think 130-140 will be right, though slightly high on the BB.

Certainly short and steep by modern standards.
Mine has 140 revs on and HA is about 68.5 unsagged.

I had a variety of forks on mine, 140mm Talas, 130mm Bombers (same length as a 150mm RS fork) and a 140 pike (the old ones).

It was best with the Bombers...

Somewhere high above Lake Garda...

I have just swapped the original 140mm pikes (they have finally died) for a pair of fox 36 at 160mm !! i have let some air out though so they sag more as it is a bit wandery, but so far so good.

as much as i wanted to love mine the ridiculous BB height meant it never went around corners very well and was retired.

it looked cool though.
