Clearly this is a bit of a long shot! But I know quite a few here rude around Calderdale. today whilst exploring I think I have left my copy of West Yorkshire Trails on a wall at the start of the climb from Lydgate up to Whirlam Common. I realised it half way up the climb but no way I was going back down again. It’s got vaguely sentimental value as it’s got notes and dates of the rides. Including a couple with a friend who’s not with us anymore. If anyone does pick it up can you message me?
Made for a bit of interesting navigation with no map and a phone that was rapidly dying! I took the descent through Todmorden golf club but lower down think I missed the classic switchbacks. After the church/graveyard I took the bridleway along the edge but after the farm ended up going straight down a rocky chute to the railway viaduct. I was looking for the path down to the picnic site. Any tips?
