its tiresome that people can belittle the achievements of professional athletes. They’ve put so much work in.
Lack of class is always tiresome. And by ‘class’ I mean modesty and being pleased for others rather than anything that might be construed otherwise.
FWIW, I like Miranda Miller. In this particular vid, the Sam Hill joke did wear a bit thin by the end, but she comes across as someone who is resolutely her own person. A much better role model than any number of ‘elevenerife’ keyboard warriors.
Funny you mention so many different sports but can't cope with a couple of ex-DH riders and long time followers of WC DH commenting that a mid pack WC racer winning world champs was extremely unusual.
No one's belittled how much effort she puts in either. And I do actually respect her as a racer/rider.
If you find it so tiresome. probably stop chipping away at it. It was what it was. Which as I've said was more than a bit lucky. No one here's saying she's the new Lance Armstrong or anything or wanting her not to have the title.

and do we really have to have your riding CV in every second post? We get that you’re awesome. We know you can ride everything in the tweed valley on a rigid bike with slick tyres. You don’t need to remind us constantly.
