[#9835427]

I just can’t decide.

i have a shorty up front at the moment as it has rained non stop recently and my local trails are now mud.

i know Welsh trail centres can be rocky/hard pack though.

could anyone who has ridden Brechfa offer some advice please?

im leaning towards the Minion.

Thanks!

I agree I’m probably being ott with it, but read that shorty’s aren’t fun on rock/hard pack...

Shorty 2.5 would be fine but I’d switch for a DHF for most official trails in Wales.

I was there on Sunday last.

Muddy. Far more muddy than I expected. It's clearly not being that well looked after. There were plenty of trees down too, especially on the red.  I coped fine on a dhf and nobby nic although in the worst sections I had to push a few bits because of mud. Some of the muddy descents tested the limits of the DHF too.

Thanks mate, I think I’ll stick with the shorty and ride round the rocks then!
