[#12099891]

I remember seeing this concept knocking about a few years ago:

The idea being (mainly for road and town bikes IIRC) that you could have a minimalist "stay" on either wheel with a lightly contacting brush at about the 9 O'clock position on each wheel that just knocks off the water and prevents the need for anything much more to keep a rider dry.

Has anyone ever bought or bodged one of these and used them in anger?
If so how effective were they? (on and off-road)

Looks multiply times worse than a quality set of mudguards IMHO

Maybe alan, but I'm just curious having seen a few pretty pictures on the interwebz a while back, and nothing much since.

I can appreciate the logic of the concept and in terms of a minimalist solution or something that fits/detaches very fast they have at least one possible selling point.

My proper winter bike/commuter has full guards, I'm just mulling ideas for a more 'in-between' bike I have, and this idea popped back into my head...

Again very insightful, but has anyone ever actually used, let alone seen these things in real life?

Or are they just another example of Kickstarter vapourware?

I've certainly never seen one. How is it attached that stops it rotating?

No idea, but the concept still intrigues me...
