need to get a new pannier rack for 13mile mixed off/on road commute, but want something quite minimal/lightweight for the days i don't take panniers (4/5 days) or for longer rides/cx races at the weekend. have an old chunky alumnium topeak one from my mtb but it weighs a tonne and is about 1foot wide... 😛 needs to be strong enough to carry 2 panniers full of goodies from the market/off licence/post office too. i've seen a tortec ultralite one which looks good but wondering if there's any hidden gems i'm missing? any recommendations too?

Tortec Velocity or Tubus fly?
I've been using a Blackburn EX for 5+ years and found it to be very good. It's pretty light and sturdy enough to carry two Ortlieb backrollers full to the brim with shopping without issue.

good call on the tortec velocity - the hybrid one looks ideal. will try a few local shops for a gander/fit test 🙂
