Saw that on another news channel about 30 mins ago, the boy done good! Here's hoping he beats last years 4 stage wins at the Tour, wouldn't it be great to see him win on the Champs-Elysess?!

usually italian TV are pissy about the rights and don't let eurosport have it (or want too much cash)

It was on eurosport earlier, as will every other classic

Good result for Cav, but he nearly let Hassler take it away from him.

That's a big win.
The list of past winners is a real "who's who" of the greats.
Hope his management don't let him overdo it, especially as he going to be doing some more track stuff.

F****** awesome talent. I really didnt think he had it in him to get over cipressa and the poggio and still be in contention. I can't get over how much he has improved and how much he has achieved already. Great ride Cav.

especially as he going to be doing some more track stuff.

I can't help but feel that 'track stuff' isn't quite in the same league, Olympic Golds notwithstanding...

Major win.
Surprised at the subdued response from the STW collective considering the huge interest and mass of inside knowledge the Tour throws up. Not a lot on BC either.
great day as it was when Kelly won it in the rain.

Not only a fantastic result but also the way he did it, catching Haussler right on the line (sorry if you've not seen it!). Brilliant.

Trying to work out now what other classics he'd be good for... Flanders and Liege I'd have thought too hilly (not so sure now..), Roubaix - why not (has he done any 'cross?), Amstel Gold why not

The speed Cav found to bridge the gap Hassler pulled out over the last 250m was just out of this world.
It's a long time since we saw repeated sprinting ability like this... Cipolini?
