I've done this without problems (and a lot worse 😀 )

I can but I'm busy and hoping the hive mind will say:
1) Yes! the stems at 25.6 are designed to take anything from 25.4-26 (which appears to be the range of "standards"..)
Or
2) No, your stem will explode leading to shards of aluminium and antimatter entering your bloodstream, mutating your sperm and eventually creating a master race of aluminflesh hybrid children (should attempts at procreation be successful)..
So far the answer is yes.
I think my road bike has a 25.4/26.4 set up, still working.
The difference here is tiny. IIRC 3TTT came up with 25.8 to use 26.0 and 25.6 (or something) stems?
