Hi ... will a Middleburn Duo (with 'mtb' rings) work OK on a road bike (9spd Campag cassette)? Currently have a double chain set on the road bike.

it will work, but watch the bottom bracket. Only concern would be the potentially tiny gears on a road bike.

I ran one on the missus's roadie for a while, as she wanted low gears. The shifting was simply appalling though, and I tried basically every front mech on the market (road and mtb, with matching shifters), then finally gave up. My final conclusion was that the rings were simply not designed to shift well.

Moved on to a TA Carmina which was excellent, immediately, and I've never bought a Middleburn ring since.
