[Closed] Mendips locals - Xmas ride advice for a visitor?

I'm staying in Axbridge with the family and snuck my bike along. If I get a day away and want to explore the trails nearby, what do you suggest - I'm a terrible navigator and will rely on Trailforks and instinct. Also tell me if I should leave them alone to recover from the wet.

It's gopping up there at the moment. If you are desperate, head to The Swan at Rowberrow and head up to Beacon Batch from there. You will see signs for some of the sanctioned trails on your way, plus evidence of many more.

Proper mingin up there at the mo, and the local built trails don't drain that well, I'd second the Quantocks, only a 25min drive and rides well in the wet.

I rode rowberrow on Sunday, it was filthy, wet, slippy, rooty madness. Great fun, but a right mess.

Mendip Magic Yee Ha hold up best in the wet. Everything else is awful.

Wind Hill is 40 mins away and is riding fine at the moment.
