Might be in Melrose in a few weeks time, any good riding round there? The OS map shows quite a few trails in the Eildons, are they worth a look?

Cheers!

Tick. My sister is moving to gattonside, so having some riding from her house would be ace!.

Yep, plenty (see Strava). But, not the best after a downpour.

From Gattonside there is plenty of XC going north.

tbh The best riding within riding distance is Yair.

If you need 'navigation' help or someone to show you, EIP

I live on the eildons, enough here for a couple hours riding with some lovely single track. Lots of riding in the Melrose area but is mostly not very exciting xc (nice countryside though) things get a lot more exciting further along the tweed valley.
If you need a hand lemme know

Eildons are a mudfest if wet - especially the woods, but there is some lovely singletrack.

I got out on the Eildons at short notice. It was very dry so I did all of them plus the wee bump at the north. Awesome!
