Wasnt El Guapo the bad guy in the Three Amigo's?

For that reason, get that one! 😀

Got an El Guapo(not from On One BTW) myself, can't recommend it highly enough especially at the current price.Think it will probably more versatile than a Mega (of which I have no first hand experience so I may well be talking through my a**e)as it can be built up either as an all day long travel trail bike or more hardcore/downhill whereas I get the impression that the Mega leans a bit the other way and is a bit more hardcore orientated. Both possibly overkill for many UK trails though as someone will no doubt say....oh and buy an Orange 5 🙂
Mine El Guapo is now bound to fail catastrophically and kill me as the curse of recommending something on a forum kicks in

Can't comment on the Guapo but I have just built up a Mega as my trail bike. Very impressed.
Like all these kinda bikes, its no doubt more than I need, but it pedals and climbs well and obviously likes being pointed downhill.

Buy the one you like the look of 🙂

I'm now in the same quandry - how are people getting on with these frames? Anyone around 6'2" tried an XL Mega?

I have a mega and its brilliant. Climbs well, descends even better.
I am 6'2" and have a large and its fine seatpost still has another inch or two left. How large do you like your bikes?

I like that the XL is about £200 cheaper than the large. Current bikes are a large sub 5 and a large SX trail - geometery of the XL mega is only a smidge bigger than these. I'm guessing a short, short stem and maybe 170 cranks (for clearance more than anything else) would set it up perfect

Mega
Pros - rear through axle - slightly prefer the geometry, current stererer will fit without cutting
Negs - need to buy new hub internals, heavier

El Guapo
Pros - Lighter, Horst link
Negs - Graphics, Short wheelbase

Both have 2 year warranties
