Anybody suggest any good insurance that covers riding in the Mega Avalance??

Originally a Ski insurer, but is now very good for the Mega.
You can tailor the cover you need - "bikes", "baggage", "cameras/phones etc".

Dogtag prob also worth a look - not sure if they cover competitive riding though?

Dogtag here, £31 for 10 days cover specifically including the Mega/downhill racing.

Snap, Dogtag for me too. They explicitly list the Megavalanche as a separate sport, in addition to mountain biking (downhill and competitive).
