Hi,
Both my bikes were stolen from my locked garage in Wallington, Surrey last Sunday night. One was a medium Cotic Soul in black, the second was a medium yeti 575 in a turquoise Yeti team colour. It must have been two guys that walked down the shallow river to the back of my garden, across my garden to back of the garage and got in. We installed a cat flap at Christmas and they must have got the locks undone from the outside. The scary thing was that the garage is a part of the house, ie my bedroom is above the garage, I was in and probably asleep.
It makes me sick that someone would do this, the bikes were worth a lot, I had worked hard to pay for them and more importantly I spent a lot of time getting them the way I wanted and in a weird way I will miss them. I am not going to be able to replace them any time soon as I have just bought a flat and having to spend a fortune on that. I am seriously gutted! Anyway the police have been around and taken notes on the bikes. I don’t ever expect to see them again but if you see these bikes around let me know. The yeti’s distinguishing features are its wheels that are Chris king hubs on dt swiss 4.1d rims, the hubs are a rare deep blue colour. Also the frame is fairly rare, it’s the older version with the knuckle on the top tube, and an aluminium swing arm (most had a carbon swing arm).
The Cotics distinguishing feature is that it has a M960 crankset that has been jonesed. I have had to modify it, I have never seen another crankset like it in the surrey hills.
