Hope someone can help.

I have a medium pitch pro with max seatpost height for uphill riding of 21cm. The tube has been cut to 26.5cm to enable seat to be dropped for downhill/steep technical descents due to bend in the pitch frame. I am considering a rockshock reverb as fed up of getting off bike to drop the post.

Which reverb, if any will give me my current riding position.

Cheers for any advice

Measure the max Exposed seat post when up, add 30ish mm to that for the top of the post unit and that is the Max Drop you can expect. After that see how much seat post you can fit in the frame for the other measurement

Leaving 5.5cm of seat post insertion when at max extension? Sounds too little, Reverb would be a good idea.

Just back from my first ride on a Reverb and it's a revelation, totally changed my ride.

Reverbs come in 380 or 420 length.

They need around 190-195 of extension above the frame, so you're OK there.

You need to work out how much insertion your frame can handle, and add your extension (210mm) to it. If this total is less than 380, you should be OK, so you need to be able to drop your current post by 170mm.

I think. But it is late, and I've just been out for 3 hours enjoying my Reverb!
