Hi, change my brake pads. I made sure to push the caliper thing all the way back in before putting in the new pads. Now the wheel won't lock, and the lever is right on the bars without the wheel stopping or locking. Any ideas? They are Sram.
Old pads were quite worn.

Air in system. Bleed them
You usually need to pump the levers to extend the pistons after you've put in new pads. Flushing the fluid and bleeding is never a bad thing.

If you have used a lot of force to push the pistons back in its possible that you have damaged a seal in the master cylinder (lever end).
Wheel won't lock until the brake pads have bedded in - that takes a wee bit of riding and getting the wheel up to speed and dragging the brake and grabbing the brake - getting the brake up to heat, etc.
Lever back to bar could be one of 2 things - either air in the system, so bleed the system; or more likely, you've pushed the pistons back and they now need time to reseat themselves so will most likely need 6 or 7 full lever pulls to get them to reseat and return the lever throw to how it was. A bleed may also be useful for that as well.
