I have just bought a 15" kona shred frame off ebay, to build up a bike for my other half.
It measures 18" as far as i can see, i have allways assumed centre bb to seat clamp. Im sure it cant be wrong as even with the seat fully down she can barely touch the floor (5'2").
It also looks like a large frame and is more or less the same size as my 18" inbred.
Any ideas or advice as seller swears its a 15" frame
Some are measured centre bb to centre of top tube/seat tube intersection.
just measured off from the online spec and the wheelbase and top tube length are the same as the size lrg 17" model.
Seller is sticking to his guns, what a frikkin pain in the ass.
Looks like im going to end up stuck with it.
anyone want a 17" shred frame?
If Kona messure it as a 17-inch then return it as mis-described. Should be easy peasey through eBay.
I see a lot of frames on eBay that are clearly not the size they are advertised as.
So how did the seller measure it, from where to where?
Open an Ebay/paypal dispute. If the seller can't use a tape measure, it shouldn't be your problem.
seller measured centre to centre, which is 15" ish, same as my 18" inbred again.
A 15" shred should be a tiny frame i would have thought being all jumpy biased as it is!
Fed up of ebay disputes just managed to get a refund on an evil soverign frame i bought, it never arrived, seller never got in contact. Then found out he had set up account in ex girlfriends name and had been merrily ripping people off for a while! its all a massive ball ache, think this may be my last ebay purchase for some time.
Aah, measured Roadie style.
You should really have checked what they were measuring, no?
