Our Latitude 00 and 10 mountain haveboth won group-tests and 'bike of the year' commendations showing that the desirable ride feel of steel doesn't always mean high prices.

The Latitude 10 has a longer travel 120mm Rockshox Recon Gold TK fork with aluminium steerer and a Deore / SLX componment mix including external-bearing cranks and a larger 180mm .
Lighter 420gram, welded Alex rims lower the wheel weight for faster acceleration with no loss of durability.

Both!

I have a 2008 altitude 00 and a 29er - loving them both in equal measures.

im sold on 29ers since i was at a demo day at glentress iirc it was a turner and it was quick. i sneaked up to andys flume and fell off. handed the bike back and run away ! it was quick and surprised me coming down spooky wood . very quick out the berms indeed. im not that sold that i would over look a better specced 26er though !

Is better spec more important than how good a bike feels to ride?

Did you buy this? Where do you buy last years model Latitude? I trawled around the net a month or so ago and many places still had the 2011 on their websites but saying there were none in stock.
