Anyone got any experience using maxxis raze cx tyres? My nice brand new one managed 7.5 miles tonight before explosively decompressing- a nice 15mm or so split in the sidewall. Nothing really obvious on the ground to cause it, but not saying there wasn't for sure- need to check it over tomorrow properly.

I liked the tyre prior to that so I'm minded to order another but just wondered if anyone else had had any problems?

Been using mine on the rear in tubeless guise all year without a problem (apart from it blowing off the rim covering a group of elderly German grannies in gunk because I had inflated the tyre to over 40 psi). I think you have just been unlucky.

Had 2 sets, they've been faultless. Used for everything from racing to commuting.

I've done a fair distance on mine with no problems....

..

..and once had three punctures within the space of 10 miles due to sharp rocks.
