Hi Chaps,

Does anyone use a DHR2 as a front tyre? And if so, how does the 2.3 measure up? Are they now true to size?

Thinking of running a pair front and back, 3C front and dual rear. IF not, i'll be a DHF 3C front....

Cheers

Ricks

They're crap as a rear tyre, I can't see them being better on the front.

Yeah, thats a combo I am thinking about too. Unless you've tried the DHR2 you probably don't know how much better it is than a DHR.... And given its the lovechild of a DHF and HR2 then on the front I think it will be mint. Just need to find the time to swap over and test! yes they are 'proper' size nowadays.

Yep, they are a great front tyre. I took a bit of a gamble and tried them about 6 months ago & it was mint.

@uselesshippie DHR11 not DHR, not rode one myself but seen some favourable reviews when used as a front tyre.

All new Maxxis tyres size up correctly, 2.3 means 2.3.

Saw a few pros using this setup at the tweedlove ews, as a wet/loose option- though I heard one (no names) describe it as the "least shit option"

They look interesting as a F/R combo, I've got a dual compound DHR2 for the rear at the moment - the knobs are falling off the Hans Dampf, so need to whack something new on the front too.
